ImmaterialAI 3.24 “Description+” is live: inline nodes in node descriptions, link and image selection dialogs & more

Centered around the interactive node description editor that uses Markdown, here's 3.24 changing the game yet again:

Node's description view (Plus)

Editting

• new button: IAI node - tap to search for a node to inline into your description at the cursor's location

  • you can also create the node on the fly through the dialog

  • you can further customize the node styling by modifying the inner text of the added markdown block

• all controls now have tooltips

• pressing link now opens a dialog where you enter the name and the url of the link you want to add

• pressing image now opens a dialog where you enter the link and an optional alternative text in case the image doesn't load

Viewing

• inlined nodes show up as content bubbles decorated with their types' icon and color

  • tap inlined nodes to expand them in the navigation stack

• crashes in case of invalid Markdown formatting fixed

• incorrect Markdown is replaced with warnings

• images without a supported extension won't show up anymore

• clicking urls now opens them in your default browser

Other

• default database nodes, node types, link types, etc have their creation date set to IAI's first version in Nov 30 2019 (instead of updated with the current date)

  • making them show up latest in the library

• (HOME) pagination-generated pages now fit an additional row of content

• exit button moved at the top of Settings

This one came out of nowhere while fixing some Markdown parsing bugs, and it became one of our most useful updates. Update 3.25 might wrap everything up, stay tuned!
