Immaterial 1.5 "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" update is live!
The final big update of the 1.x series is out!
With this update Immaterial introduces starter concepts to jump-start your investigation process from. You can see them as an entry point into the app, the connections you make afterwards being all up to you.
The concepts are organized in two bundles, "Let go" and "Dig Deeper", both available in the Home Tab. The bundles contain concepts like
links to studies
pointers for self inquiry
philosophical views
observations on established systems
remarks about consciousness
When you tap on a bundle, you'll see the concepts inside and get to choose which ones you want to import or skip, as well as seeing which ones are already imported. This functionality is not restricted to the Connections bundle, free users can use the feature fully as well.
With 1.5 I'm freezing the development of big features for the Android version. Big life events happened since 1.4 and I have to look ahead, so the theme of 1.5 became "wrap-up" of the first iteration of the vision of Immaterial. Easy to implement features are still considered, however my current focus with Immaterial is now shifting to the iOS app and bringing it up to par with the Android version. Afterwards? Who knows - online worlds, libraries and communities could be just a start!
Feel free to contribute with your own concepts for the home tab - either here, in DMs or on our public data Github project. Contributions' data complexity is irrelevant, we may take in data ranging from one concept to entire bundles of intricate systems of nodes and relations.
I'm excited to see where the new update takes you and if you see anything you'd add😁
